The individual in this position contributes to Cornerstone University’s (CU) thriving community by providing excellent oversight of residential life and leadership and direction to CU’s residential life staff. The Director plays a key role in the discipleship and formation of staff and students housed in CU’s residential facilities. The Director supervises student conduct, care, and crisis response for CU’s traditional undergraduate students and manages CU’s student housing. The Director supervises the training, development and formation of the Resident Directors, Assistant Resident Directors, Resident Assistants, and student teams. As part of the Spiritual Formation and Christian Community professional staff, this individual will act as a minister of the Gospel as he or she integrates a biblical worldview into the responsibilities of this role.
Key responsibilities:
Facilitate student conduct, care, and crisis response for CU’s traditional undergraduate students.
Oversee CU’s student housing (supervising the Asst. Director of Residence Life).
Oversee the Residence Life team (Asst. Director, RDs, ARDs, RAs).
Serve as a member of the Spiritual Formation & Christian Community leadership team
